30 doctoral students to be recruited by UPPA

The University of Pau and of the Pays de l’Adour has been awarded a European call for projects enabling it to finance the work of 30 doctoral students on subjects related to energy and the environment.

UPPA has been ranked in third place of the 15 projects retained (out of a total of 63 submitted) for the EDENE project, the ‘European Doctoral Programme in Energy and Environment’, on the European programme, H2020 Marie Curie COFUND.

This project brings together seven partners - socio-economic players in the region and cross-border university players - on issues related to energy and the environment and will begin in January 2021 with a call for applications to begin a thesis in September 2021.

The EDENE project will last for five years and finance the work of 30 international doctoral students in all disciplines. With a total budget of 4.9 million euros, the project is jointly financed by the European Union (for 2.5 million euros) and by E2S UPPA, in particular via doctoral fellowships.
