Arkinova at the Aquibat building fair

The seventh edition of the Aquitaine building sector trade fair will take place in Bordeaux from 14 to 16 March.  Stakeholders from the Arkinova technopole park will be present to participate, in particular in the round table discussions;

Around 350 regional, national and international exhibitors will attend the Aquibat trade fair, devoted to the building and public works sector. More than 15,000 professionals are also expected including trade-workers, SMIs, architects and project contractors and managers.  Regional authorities and research and training centres will also be present.

In the Nouvelle Aquitaine region, the building sector comprises some 52,882 companies (figures from the Nouvelle Aquitaine branch of the French Building Federation (FFB)) and 8% of the region’s GDP is generated by these companies.  With growth in productivity of 5.3% in 2017, the building and public works sector offers an optimistic outlook for 2018. The Aquibat trade fair will take place during a promising period for technical and architectural innovations.

This year, the Aquibat fair will focus particularly on innovation in building with the Aquibat Innovation Village, led by the CREAHd centre.  This 300m² space with 6 different areas (Digital Applications, Immersion & Virtual Reality, Robotics, Cobotics & Drones, Material & Equipment, Energy & New technologies and Development & Infrastructures) will host some forty companies and innovative projects including ones from the Arkinova ecosystem.

The Business Generator will also be present at the Aquibat Innovation Village by CREAHd, as partners of the CREAHd centre.  Come and meet our project head, Marie-Agnés Barriére, on site.

On the programme of round table discussions and conferences at the fair, sustainable building and digital tools will predominate, in particular the integration of BIM, sourced organic materials or the use of drones on work-sites.  These technologies are examined and developed at the Arkinova technopole park, and certain stakeholders will participate in the round table discussions during the Aquibat fair:

    On Wednesday 14 March, from 11.30am to 12.30pm (Hall 1 - Business area), Olivier Scheffer, Managing Director of the NOBATEK/INEF4 centre, will take part in the round table organised by the Nouvelle Aquitaine FFB, on the theme ‘The shift from traditional company to innovative company’.

    On Wednesday 14 March from 3.15pm to 4pm (Hall 1, Avenue 31, Aisle B/C -Forum Room). Jérôme Luret, engineer and project manager at NOBATEK/INEF4, will speak at the conference entitled ‘The tools to organise your project’.

Moreover, from 14 to 16 March, at the Aquibat Innovation Village by CREAHd, the technical and sales teams of NOBATEK/INEF4 will be holding B2B meetings (registration online) in addition to tests on the innovations of the BATISOL and BATISCAF projects.
