Christian La Borderie director of ISA BTP

Formerly in charge of the SIAME research laboratory, Christian La Borderie has become the new director of ISA BTP (Higher Aquitaine Institute for Construction and Public Works) based at the Arkinova Technology Park.

On 2 October, Christian La Borderie assumed his duties as director of ISA BTP, the engineering college of the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour, replacing Gilles Pijaudier-Cabot, who has become executive director of the E2S project, following the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour’s I-SITE certification. ISA BTP is a state-run college whose main role is the training of construction engineers, works supervisors and site managers in five years of study following the baccalaureate. ISA BTP was created in 1996 and accredited by the CTI (Engineering Education Commission) and produces around fifty qualified engineers per year.

Christian La Borderie was formerly director of SIAME at UPPA, also based at the Arkinova Technology Park.  “My mission as director of the ISA BTP College is focused on two ambitions, which are to develop the college in the Nouvelle Aquitaine Region and to continue collaborations with the SMEs of the region. There is also the ISA Lab project which is the construction of a new building for the use of ISA BTP and research activities, with work due to start in 2019 or 2020” stated Christian La Borderie
