Second year group for the DU TIC diploma

Awarded the "Fabriques du numérique" (digital factories) label as part of the "Grande école du numérique" (digital higher education institute) scheme, this degree-level qualification (equivalent to 3 years' education post-baccalaureate) in the web and multimedia fields began on 12 February and will last 9 months.

Based on the Arkinova campus, the computer science department of the University Technology Institute (IUT) of Bayonne and the Basque Country runs this nine-month multimedia course for adults.

First launched in February 2017, this multimedia course for adults entitled "DU TIC" (University Diploma in Information and Communication Technologies) is followed by about fifteen adult jobseekers or people on retraining schemes.

The "DU TIC" course in the only one in south Aquitaine to benefit from the "Fabriques du numérique" label as part of the "Grande école du numérique" scheme, a national network of vocational digital technology courses. These courses have the dual aim of meeting a growing need for digital skills on the employment market and of facilitating the socio-professional integration of people who have been out of employment and training for long periods.
