The “Industry 4.0” Master presented at the Business Generator
This one-year IT course was launched by the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour at the Arkinova site. It will facilitate the development of collaborative projects with the Technology Park ecosystem in areas such as artificial intelligence, connected objects or using big data.
This new year-long course is offered in English, and has ten students on the Montaury UPPA campus, who began in September 2018. The “Industry 4.0” Master is part of the E2S project (energy and environmental solutions) offered by the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour, the French Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation (INRIA) and the French Institute of Agricultural Research (INRA).
The goals of the “Industry 4.0” Master are to train students (around twenty for future intakes) to an advanced specialisation level in order to meet the scientific and technological challenges of digital companies and industries, develop their research skills and prepare them for research and development management positions in private companies or public organisations.
On 14 December, students and staff from the Master programme were invited to the Business Generator at Arkinova to present their work and opportunities for collaboration with the Technology Park ecosystem. One of the goals of this PoC (proof of concept) measure is to have students working on projects submitted by companies, local authorities or research centres. The projects will focus on the Internet of Things, using big data, information systems and digital interactions.
