ISA-BTP holds its careers forum at Arkinova Business Generator
Around fifty companies took part in this day of meetings to promote the recruitment of students from the Aquitaine Higher Institution for Building and Public Works (ISA-BTP).
On 23 November, ISA-BTP organised its careers forum at the Arkinova Business Generator. Initiated by the 5th-year students, this forum provided 47 businesses with stands to present their activity. Around 300 students from ISA-BTP, the Lycée Cantau high school and the Anglet Federation of Building Trades were able to discover the jobs, internships or projects offered by these companies in the building sector. Stands devoted to further studies (CESI, ENS Paris Saclay, CHEC, the Anglet branch of the Compagnons du Tour de France building federation and ISA-BTP) were also set up in the Arkinova Business Generator premises.
The morning was devoted to meetings between students and companies. Conferences and round tables were held in the afternoon. Professional social networks in particular were addressed, beginning with a seminar on the theme ‘Building a Professional Network’. This was followed by a round table entitled ‘Young People and Public Works – choosing a network and getting connected’, which gave professionals and ISA-BTP students an opportunity to discuss issues together. This first edition of the trade forum ended with a seminar to present the Arikinova Technology Park, the ‘Heart of the Campus’ project and the results of the ISALAB architecture competition for the future ISA-BTP building, for which works will begin soon on the Arkinova premises.
