Here comes the 4th Evolution
The 4th <R>Evolution will be held at the Océan in Anglet on 13 October, to talk about architecture in a new and different way.
The event of the 13 October will be in its 4th year.
<R>Evolution, whatzat?
This event aims to overturn the traditional codes of design and construction. It is jointly organised by NOBATEK/INEF4, the Communauté Pays Basque and its Technopole Pays Basque and Odéys, the construction and sustainable development hub of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The audience is mainly drawn from professionals in the construction sector.
What is parasitic architecture?
‘Parasitic architecture: between conservation and destruction?’: that is the theme of this 4th event which aims to examine the concept of parasitic architecture as an innovative and sometimes surprising element, somewhere between conservation and destruction.
We are invited to explore its features and its potential to provide solutions to meet the challenges of today (of climate, space, use) and to revitalise the existing built environment.
Coaches and highlights
The day will feature a video presentation, two round tables, an original joint workshop (new this year) and will be hosted by a panel of experts, led by Alain Bornarel, engineer and town planner, founder and director emeritus of the TRIBU consultancy, creator and organiser of OFF du Développement Durable, silver award winner of the Academy of Architecture in 2007 and co-founder of the national movement for Happy and Creative Frugality. Julien Berthier, Head of the General Secretariat for Energy Transition and Ecological Planning, will take part in one of the round tables.

10.15 a.m.: video presentation
10.45 a.m.: Round table: ‘Parasitic architecture, the answer to today’s challenges?’
12 noon: Joint workshop: Parasitic architecture: your turn to play! Working in teams, try to come up with parasitic architecture concepts for the restoration of the Château de Guiche, a listed building.
2.30 p.m.: Round table: ‘Is parasitic architecture suitable (as a solution) to revitalise an existing building?’ Full programme and info on the website.

Cet événement entend bousculer les codes de la conception et de la construction traditionnelles. Il est co-organisé par NOBATEK/INEF4, la Communauté Pays Basque et sa Technopole Pays basque et Odéys, le cluster de la construction et de l(aménagement durables de Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Son public est essentiellement composé de professionnels du bâtiment.
L’architecture parasitaire, c’est quoi ?
« L’architecture parasitaire : entre préservation et destruction ? », tel est le thème de cette 4e édition qui entend interroger le concept d’architecture parasitaire, comme élément innovant, parfois surprenant, entre préservation et destruction.
Une invitation à explorer ses facettes et son potentiel de solutions pour répondre aux défis d’aujourd’hui (climatiques, d’espace, d’usage) et à la revitalisation du bâti existant.
Parrainage et temps forts
Une présentation vidéo, deux tables rondes, un workshop collaboratif original (nouveauté de cette édition) rythmeront la journée animée par un panel d’experts placés sous le parrainage d’Alain Bornarel ingénieur urbaniste, fondateur et gérant émérite du bureau d'études TRIBU, créateur organisateur du OFF du Développement Durable, médaille d'argent de l'Académie d'Architecture en 2007 et cofondateur du mouvement national pour une Frugalité Heureuse et Créative. Julien Berthier, responsable du Secrétariat Général à la Transition Énergétique et à la Planification Écologique, interviendra à l’une des tables rondes.
