Open days at the Arkinova Technology Park
University, school and vocational educational establishments based on the Arkinova site are organising open days on Saturday 27 January and Saturday 3 February.
The University of Pau and the Pays de l’Adour (UPPA) will welcome visitors to its Angloy site on Saturday 3 February between 9 am and 1 pm. ISA BTP (Higher Aquitaine Institute for Construction and Public Works), UPPA's College for engineers working in the fields of construction and public works, is also hosting an open day on Saturday 3 February from 9 am to 1 pm, and from 2 pm to 4 pm. Website: isabtp.univ-pau.fr/fr/index.html
On Saturday 27 January, from 9 am to 1 pm, the Lycée Cantau will be opening its doors to welcome post-baccalaureate students and pupils leaving Year 10. The Lycée Cantau trains vocational baccalaureate students for professional aptitude certificates (CAPs) in the construction and energy professions as well as general stream and technology baccalaureate students. Lycée Cantau also runs BTS courses (hire technician diploma) and a vocational degree in the field of construction. Website: www.lycee-cantau.net
The Fédération compagnonnique des métiers du bâtiment of Anglet is also organising an open day on Saturday 27 January from 9 am to 12.30 pm. The Arkinova centre welcomes apprentices, jobseekers, employees, and schoolchildren on DIMA schemes (block release work experience schemes) and young people completing “Tour de France” apprenticeships, with courses for tilers, joiners, roofers, stone-masons, carpenters, painters, glaziers, and plasterers.
