A competition to promote BIM

The BIM territory network is launching the first BIM Green Awards to develop and create greater awareness of BIM (Building Information Modelling), or modelling building data. This competition will present and reward exemplary sustainable works where their construction or renovation has included this approach.

Created at the end of April, the BIM territorial network is supported by six founding members: the Fibres-Energivie Competiveness Hub in the Great East, the NOVABUILD Cluster in Pays de la Loire, the Hub TEN Incubator in Normandy, Domolandes in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the Cap Construction cluster in Belgium, the Neobuild Innovation Hub in Luxembourg.

Its principal objective is to accelerate digital deployment to optimise the construction and renovation of buildings so that they are more in line with the fight against climate change. One of its first actions was to organise the BIM Green Awards competition in partnership with the Construction21 association.

This competition comprises five categories (new building/small project, new building/large project, renovated building/small project, renovated building/large project, layout/infrastructure) as well as a special ‘other category’ prize. Open to professionals able to represent the works, the competition will reward the most outstanding sustainable works in terms of use of BIM.

Applications should be made by 15 July 2020: https://www.construction21.org/france/static/bim-green-awards.html
