A specialist in Eco-responsible construction has set up at Arkinova
Christine Lecerf, who is an engineer and industrial designer, has set up offices at the Business Generator to contribute to the development of the Arkinova ecosystem via sustainable development consultancy and sustainable engineering in the built environment.
“I set up at the Business Generator at the beginning of May to develop the concept of lean construction using collective intelligence methods. The idea is to design a building which reduces its own requirements, in order to have as little environmental impact as possible, whilst remaining comfortable,” explained Christine Lecerf. With the help of her agency Ailter, specialised in eco-responsible engineering for construction, she offers support services to contractors, project owners and regional authorities, as well as to associations and public sector delegates.
The ingenuity of Christine Lecerf is to combine engineering and design knowhow with a specialisation in sustainable development for the built environment. “The engineering profession as it was taught to me through my SUPELEC (École Supérieure d’Electricité) diploma and the course I did in Industrial Design at UTC (University of Technology of Compiègne) and at the University of Montreal was all very technical, I wanted to add a human aspect and more openness. The idea is to include the users in the programming, design and usage of the building”, she said.
Christine Lecerf was first secretary then president of the Institute for Responsible, Eco-design of the Built Environment (ICEB) from 2009 to 2017, an association of professionals which implements sustainable construction, develops innovation, animates debate and passes on know-how and is specialised in eco-construction certification labels. Christine Lecerf is involved in exceptional project management solutions, in the design and sustainable development component of projects, and she supports the sustainable development approach for built heritage through workshops. She is also a training officer. By combining an interactive approach, pedagogy and knowhow, she provides innovative solutions to ecological and social transition issues.
