Eurosima prepares for recovery
The European association of manufacturers in the surf industry - Eurosima - is renewing its call for innovation projects and supporting businesses in the board sports sector to manage the Covid-19 crisis.
The Eurosima association (like the European Surf Industry Manufacturers Association) brings together the board sports industry through events and networking, and provides promotion and support for its economic development. It has also recently joined the Federation of European Sporting Goods Industries with the aim of contributing to work on product compliance.
In partnership with the French association Outdoor Sports Valley which brings together mountain sports equipment manufacturers, Eurosima has launched its ‘Appeal for Innovation Projects 2020’. With the objective of promoting a development project, product or service, creating a business or diversifying activities combining innovation and eco-design, this appeal for projects will provide financial assistance and support for its award-winners. Candidate applications should be sent by email by 24 July 2020.
During this Covid-19 crisis, Eurosima is taking action to support businesses in the board and outdoor sports sector as well as to support them as they come out of this crisis. The association has therefore made a group order for protective masks for its member businesses and set up a ‘Special Covid-19 HR Hotline’. Eurosima is also working on the recovery of managed economic activity, a return to active sport and is planning support mechanisms.
