The Blue Sare project presented in Bilbao
Driven by “Cluster de Energia” in partnership with the Pays Basque Urban Authority, the Blue Sare project aims to support the development of a European renewable marine energy offering. This project was presented at the “Bilbao Marine Energy Week”, the largest marine energy conference in Southern Europe, at the end of March.
The Blue Sare project was selected by the Aquitaine-Euskadi Euroregion as part of a call for projects shared between the Euskadi Autonomous Community, and the New Aquitaine region.
Led by “Cluster de Energia” and bringing together energy sector businesses, key figures in various scientific and technological fields, or people experienced in the energy sector, this project in partnership with the Pays Basque Urban Authority plans to support the implementation of a European renewable marine energy offering.
The idea is to allow businesses and organizations in the Aquitaine-Euskadi Euroregion to take a place on the international stage in this dynamic sector by raising the profile of harbor infrastructure and technological platforms, for example.
At the end of March, the Blue Sare project was presented during the 3rd edition of the “Bilbao Marine Energy Week” to a crowd of professionals, scientists and prominent members of the renewable marine energy sector. Four businesses in the New Aquitaine region participated in this event, including two from the Izarbel Technology Park in Bidart: Rivages Pro Tech and KRAKEN SubSea.
The Blue Sare project is well aligned with the Pays Basque Urban Authority policy on the marine economy, in view of the upcoming Ocean Start Technology Park.
