A new board of directors at Eurosima

The Boardsports Industry Manufacturers Association met in Biarritz on June 17, 2019, for its 20th general assembly. Jean-Louis Rodrigues, a Biarritz native, was elected as Eurosima’s president for two years. 

Jean-Louis Rodrigues, who is the Saint-Jean-de-Luz-based Boardriders Group Wholesale Manager for Europe and the Middle East, has become the new president of the association which is present in seven European countries (France, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands), although 89% of members are based in France.

Eurosima brings together representatives from big brand names and boardsports industry manufacturers. It is based in Hossegor in the Landes and Anglet in the Basque Country Urban Authority region.

Eurosima is a major player in the regional boardsports ecosystem. Eurosima’s action is focused on five strategic areas: training and employment, support for start-ups in economic and international development, close and operational collaboration with territorial authorities, economic intelligence with market survey sharing, sustainable development and corporate social responsibility.
