Algo'Tech Informatique launches its training platform
My’Algo’Tech, an Izarbel company which designs software for the design and maintenance of electrical installation systems now offers its customers a digital training area.
This new service, which was launched three months ago, is targeted at customers - mainly design offices, installers, maintenance technicians and users of buildings or systems in the tertiary or industrial sector - who use CAD electrical engineering software developed by this SME created on the Izarbel Technology Park in 1999. Algo’Tech Informatique, which was taken over at the beginning of 2014 by Jean-Michel Petolat, today has around fifteen employees.
“The creation of the My’Algo’Tech platform met a double necessity. We had to offer a training tool adapted to the needs and availabilities of users, both in terms of content and time. The digital format with computer-assisted learning and content available 24 hours a day from any connected device proved to be the most appropriate solution. It allows users to develop, at their own speed, the necessary skills for the creation and use of electrical or fluid diagrams, using online multimedia capsules,” explained Jean-Claude Etchegoyen, manager of this project.
The My’Algo’Tech platform offers content produced in-house. At the moment it is in French, but it will soon be translated into Spanish and English. Currently, a library of “flat content” offers ten or so manuals each with several hundred pages. “The aim is to convert them to SCORM format (Shareable Content Object Reference Model), the standard used by e-learning professionals,” specified Jean-Claude Etchegoyen. A multimedia library offering six webinars (interactive audio-visual programmes) of 30 to 60 minutes each will also be accessible free of charge in 2018 to all who request it.
