Bpifrance – the French public investment bank – gave a two-hour presentation on its principal support services for entrepreneurs at Izarbel on 24 July.
Bpifrance provides developmental assistance for start-ups, SMEs and intermediate-sized companies, mainly in the form of financial solutions, such as grants, interest-free repayable advances, interest-free loans and unsecured loans.

· Support mechanisms: ‘Diagnostic Innovation’ (advice for SMEs wishing to incorporate innovation into their developmental strategy), ‘Diagnostic 360’ (holistic developmental advice for SMEs), ‘Diagnostic International’ (advice on exporting and internationalisation);
· The French Tech Seed fund.
Appearing on behalf of Bpifrance were: Natalia Araujo, innovation delegate for the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region; Nicolas Georget, regional support manager for Nouvelle-Aquitaine; and Guillaume Bonnemaison, head of innovation for the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and Landes departments.
Those who attended the presentation were able to continue their discussions afterwards over a buffet lunch.
