Hupi selected for an international programme

The Izarbel-based start-up specialised in data processing has been selected for an industrial sector business accelerator programme in the Spanish Basque Country.

“259 start-ups from around the world responded to the Bind 4.0 call for projects. 11 of them were selected, including Hupi”, explained Pierre Mendiboure, one of the start-up’s three directors. Hupi was launched at Izarbel in December 2014 with the aim of developing a digital solution for processing big data.

Bind 4.0 is a 24-week public-private accelerator programme held in the Spanish Basque Country. 18 industry projects have been chosen for the selected start-ups to participate in. “These projects are about Industry 4.0, where machines communicate with each other in smart factories’, explained Pierre Mendiboure.

Hupi has been selected to apply its big data solution in the factory for vehicle parts for the Maeir group in Guernica. “We have been chosen to optimise production lines”, added Pierre Mendiboure. The Maier programme is scheduled to start in September 2017 and the BIND training sessions will run until the beginning of May.

The Bind 4.0 programme targets start-ups in big data, additive manufacturing, computer vision, cloud computing, augmented reality, cyber security, cyber physical systems and collaborative robotics. Hupi is one of the 11 chosen start-ups that will each complete a compensated project. As the only French start-up in the programme, Hupi’s participation is proof of its excellence and expertise.
