Digital companies with Digital Aquitaine
Digital Aquitaine is a regional cluster dedicated to the development of digital companies with aims in line with those of a competitiveness cluster. Digital Aquitaine thus offers numerous services to businesses in the digital sector in the Aquitaine region.
Created as an association in November 2014, the Digital Aquitaine cluster has almost 350 members, including major groups, SMEs, start-ups, schools, laboratories, local authorities, users and investors. Digital Aquitaine offers businesses services such as evaluations of calls for projects, calls for tenders and for expressions of interest, the certification of innovative digital projects, the organisation of themed events, assistance with staging events, and actionable intelligence.
Digital Aquitaine is based around four fields of excellence which are, e-health via TIC Santé, intelligent transport and mobility with TOPOS, connected trading through Club Commerce Connecté and Smart 4D, dedicated to digital simulation, virtual reality and augmented reality. Five technological innovation levers have been defined to accompany the previously quoted fields of excellence: big data and data representation, digital trust, open source software, hardware and device integration, and usable design.
After the election on 30 June this year of its board of governors, which has 33 members (including ESTIA based at the Izarbel Technology Park), the association Digital Aquitaine proceeded to elect its new board on 22 July. Agnès Passault, chairperson of the Aquitem group, thus heads the association, accompanied by Trang Pham from the THALES group, who becomes vice-president. Like the arrival of Antoine Lamarche, the former Director of Communications at Cdiscount, to take up the post of Director of Digital Aquitaine in the spring, the composition of Digital Aquitaine’s new board reflects the involvement of digital entrepreneurs in its operations.
