ESTIA engineering school is project manager for the Africa Basque Challenge 2019
Fifteen young people from the Basque Country and fifteen young people from Senegal are being supported to co-develop business projects with significant social and/or environmental impact.
A first edition for English-speakers was launched in 2018 by the University of Mondragon in the Spanish Basque Country between the Basque Country and Kenya. This year, the Africa Basque Challenge has been assigned to French-speaking Africa with ESTIA engineering school as its project manager. The call for projects was launched for French-speakers in Senegal and the Basque Country (or neighbouring countries) between 18 to 45-years old and half the participants will be women. Once all the candidates have been selected, study trips and workshops will be organised around business projects aiming to reduce inequality between rural and urban areas, but which also have a positive impact on health.
