New Business Training Program for Basque Country Digital Cluster
For the third year, the Digital Basque Country Cluster based at the Izarbel technology park in Bidart is running a Regional Action Program for digital employee training (ARFSN). Tailor-made training courses are offered to companies in the southern Landes and Pyrénées-Atlantiques department.
Launched in 2018, ADEC is a regional mission that supports the development of employment and skills. It is conducted in partnership with the French government, the Nouvelle Aquitaine Region and five digital clusters located in Aquitaine: the Basque Country Digital Cluster, the Aquitaine Digital Cluster, the Limousin Association of Information and Communication Technology Professionals (ALIPTIC), the SPN digital cluster of the former Poitou-Charentes region and the Regional Union of IT and Digital Professionals (SYRPIN).
The Basque Country Digital cluster is heading up the group action in the southern Landes and Pyrénées-Atlantiques department. It is aimed at developing skills of employees working for digital companies in technical areas of excellence. In 2018, sixty employees from forty companies benefited from a total of 2054 hours of training. In 2019, 109 employees from some fifteen companies received 2530 hours of training. The 2020 program began in January, led by Marie-Chantal Duguine for the Basque Country Digital Cluster.
"This year, we are aiming to extend the program to companies that have not yet benefited from it. We’re visiting companies to identify their needs, offer them a tailor-made solution for inter-company or intra-company training, skills assessments or accreditation of prior work experience (VAE)," she explained. In 2019, the training courses focused on: network architecture (12%), software development (33%), sales & marketing (41%) and various other topics (14%). Interested companies can contact Marie-Chantal Duguine for a needs assessment and information on the solutions available.
