Compositadour expands its team

The Technocité Technological Platform is to welcome six new engineers in response to the growth of its activity, mainly in the aeronautics sector. 

‘The recruitment process is ongoing and six people will join us this summer: three composite engineers, two composite technicians and an additive manufacturing technician.  The jobs and profiles are defined with our closest industrial partners, according to their needs’, explains Francis Sedeilhan, Head of the Compositadour Technological Platform devoted to advanced materials and inaugurated in Bayonne in 2010.

Located in premises of 2000m², Compositadour is a structure specialised in robotic procedures for the implementation of advanced composite materials and is equipped with innovative machines.  These six recruitments will bring the Compositadour team to 32 people, in addition to professor-researchers from ESTIA engineering school and staff from companies temporarily present on the platform.

‘The growth in activity can be explained by the increase in projects under development. More and more companies are asking us to automate their procedures.  We study the best possible solutions with them and we produce prototypes or pre-series.  When the procedure is then validated, sub-contractors, suppliers or the project contractors themselves take over to manufacture the parts’ Francis Sedeilhan explains.

Two thirds of the Compositadour activity concerns the aeronautics sector, followed by the sports and leisure, automobile or energy sectors who use the resources of this technological platform.

The Addimadour platform, a neighbour of Compositadour, completes the offer with research & development in additive manufacturing at the Technocité technology park.  Located in 800m² premises and inaugurated in May 2017, the Addimadour platform is specialised in metallic printing and has various tools at the disposal of innovative projects in companies and research players.
