Jean-Baptiste Daramy on the starting line for the Jacques Vabre Transat Yacht race
The Basque skipper, who is a research engineer at Compositadour, is competing in the 14th edition of the transatlantic race leaving from Le Havre and heading for Salvador de Bahia in Brazil.
The double-handed race started on October 27. Jean-Baptiste Daramy is taking part for the first time with his race partner Alexandre Hamlyn. The two men are competing on board “Chocolats Pariès-Coriolis Composite” in Class 40, which includes 27 boats. Jean-Baptiste Daramy, who is a research engineer for Compositadour’s technological platform on the Technocité site, competed in the Route du Rhum, the transatlantic, single-handed, yacht race from Saint-Malo to Pointe-à-Pitre in November 2018, where he finished in tenth place.
