The Basque Country aeronautics and aerospace sector at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget.
Businesses from the Basque Country join the regional ecosystem for the 52nd International Paris Air Show (SIAE) in Le Bourget from June 19 to 25 2017.
Held every two years, the Paris International Air Show is the not-to-be-missed event of the industrial sector of the aeronautics and space industry that brings together all actors of this global industry. In 2015, the show attracted almost 150,000 trade visitors and hosted over 2,300 exhibitor companies.
At the 2017 show, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie regions will join ranks in a 1,500 m² shared pavilion under the banner of the Aerospace Valleycompetitive cluster. This pavilion will group together 140 business, 66 of which from Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
Companies from the aeronautics and aerospace sectors, notably those from the Technocité and Izarbel Technology Parks will also be amongst those taking part.
“The fact that we will have a stand at the Aerospace Valley space made participating easier. We need to present our project and make contact with clients", explains Stéphane Azcué, director of Tekniaero, a company that recently set up at the Technocité site.
“The Paris Air Show is a unique opportunity in France to meet all actors in the international market. We will have a stand at the Aerospace Valley space, and we will also be present at a partner’s chalet. Going to Bourget is a tradition, and as our core business involves the aeronautic sector, not to go just wouldn’t make sense,” affirms Pierre Dagois, manager of 2Moro Solutions, a company created and based at Izarbel.
“We will present developments in our cabling design products along with our production management systems.At the Paris show, we will also be presenting a new solution developed in collaboration with the company Innodex. As we’re at the startup phase, it's essential for us to be at the show," explains Jean-Michel Petolat, the boss of Algo’Tech, an Izarbel-based company.
In addition to businesses based at the Technocité and Izarbel Technology Parks, other companies from the Basque Country will also be taking part in Le Bourget. It should be noted that the following companies, to give just a few examples, will also be at the show: Echeverria from Hendaye, Gora from Lahonce, Somocap from Jatxou, Spi Aero from Mauléon and Telerad from Anglet, this serving to illustrate the vitality of this local ecosystem.
