Call for projects in waste reduction and recycling
The Directorate of the French Treasury is launching a call for projects in ‘Innovative solutions for waste reduction and recycling’ with a budget of 10 million euros, and aims to select some twenty projects which will each receive a maximum of € 500,000.
The call for projects is addressed to French companies and in particular to start-ups and SMEs proposing innovative solutions with projects involving local partners where possible.
The objective is to find solutions for recycling and reducing the impact of this waste on the environment downstream in the following areas:
- Waste management: reduction at source, collection, sorting, recycling, reuse,
- Environment: managing rainwater to reduce polluting discharge,
- Energy: waste energy recovery, battery recycling,
- Transport: converting waste into fuel,
- Health: managing waste with infection risk,
- Digital: digital solutions for waste management,
- Agriculture: agricultural waste management.
The call for projects in ‘Innovative solutions for waste reduction and recycling’ is open until 1 October. Projects will be evaluated by a jury of representatives from the ministries concerned and people qualified according to criteria of leverage effect, local ownership, innovation, support for exports, environmental and social impact.
