Aid for design and innovation offered to businesses

Two regional programmes are offering to help finance projects in industrial design and individual and joint innovation undertaken by SMEs and Mid-Sized Businesses in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. 

The programme known as Aid for Advice in Innovation Design is intended to promote the inclusion of industrial design in SMEs and to encourage businesses to use the services of professional designers in designing their products.

This aid from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region concerns businesses in the sectors of industry and services to industry. It will make it possible to finance up to 70% of the design service for an SME that has never previously used a designer and up to 50% if they have already had the benefit of aid for design. Groups and Mid-Sized Businesses can receive aid of up to 25%.

These services should be provided by a design office, a design consultancy, or a designer in a competitive sector and should touch upon various themes: Product/service design, UX Design, Packaging Design, Fashion Design, Global Design.

The ‘Support for Innovative Projects’ programme offers support for individual or joint innovation projects (feasibility study, R&D project, innovation in process and organisation, etc.). It is addressed to businesses, especially SMEs and Mid-Sized Businesses, those carrying out experimental projects, associations, skill centres, research organisations, and local communities.

Innovations will concern processes, procedures and uses & and new products implemented in the economic, social, societal and environmental fields.
